Two Slidell residents were arrested on I-59 for illegal narcotics

Picayune Police Chief Jeremy Magri said in a press release that Picayune Police Narcotics Division Detectives and the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division were conducting proactive patrols on October 29 at around 10:00pm when they observed a gray 2017 Chevrolet Camaro run off the roadway several times.

According to Magri, Detectives activated their blue lights and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on Interstate 59 southbound near Exit 4 . When the vehicle came to a stop, Detectives observed the passenger of the vehicle to allegedly throw a large clear plastic bag out of the passenger window in an attempt to destroy evidence.

At this time, detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Brady Scott Rouse, age 27, and the passenger, identified as Amy Lynn Hundl, age 51, of 34128 Reilly Road, Slidell, LA., were both detained by the Detectives.

Detectives located the bag thrown from the vehicle by Hundl, which contained a crystal like substance believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine, laying on the shoulder of the interstate.

Both Rouse and Hundl were placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute and Tampering with Physical Evidence (felony). Rouse was also charged with Careless Driving. Both suspects were transported to the Criminal Justice Center where they were booked and incarcerated. The vehicle was seized due to it being used to transport illegal narcotics according to Magri.
