Picayune Police Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri detailed numerous arrests recently made in a press release.
Magri’s release states that on August 1, the Picayune Police Narcotics Division was conducting proactive patrols when they observed a red car without a license plate traveling north on South Beech Street at a high rate of speed. The Narcotics Detectives conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle on South Beech Street near Jackson Landing Road for the violation of No Tag.
Detectives approached the vehicle and requested a valid driver’s license from the driver, identified as Jennifer Kay Daigrepont, age 37, of 56441 Almonaster Street, Slidell, LA. They also requested valid identification cards from the front passenger, identified as Alice Smith Lannes, age 58, 123 Marsha Street, Picayune, and from the rear passenger identified as Isah Lee Drummond, age 46, of 115 Caroline Street, McNeill, MS.

While speaking with Daigrepont, it was learned that she did not possess a valid driver’s license nor did she have valid insurance on the vehicle. At this time, detectives observed an open 32 ounce Budweiser Ice beer next to Daigrepont’s legs and another open 32 ounce Budweiser Ice beer between Drummond’s legs. Detectives recovered the beers from and conducted a search of the vehicle.
Magri’s press release states that during the search of the vehicle, Detectives located a metal container that contained a clear plastic bag which contained a crystal substance believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine inside Daigrepont’s purse. Detectives also found a clear plastic bag containing a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana inside of Lannes’ purse.
Lannes was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Misdemeanor) and Daigrepont was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance (felony), Open Beer, No Drivers License, No Insurance, and No Tag. Drummond was issued a post arrest citation for Open Beer and released at the scene.
Both Lannes and Daigrepont were transported to the Criminal Justice Center, booked, and incarcerated on their said charges.
