July 6, 2018

Two of the three suspects in the armed robbery that occurred on June 24 at a car wash in Picayune, are now in custody in North Carolina.  The third suspect, the female who was the driver of the vehicle used in the armed robbery, has communicated that she will turn herself in, possibly as early as today (Thursday) according to Picayune Police Department Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri.

Magri said that after the robbery, the female suspect was caught on video surveillance at a store in Slidell using one of the stolen credit cards from the victim.   Magri said that when the pictures of the suspect and the car used in the armed robbery were placed on the Picayune Police Department’s Facebook page,  the department received numerous tips and information from the community.

Through further investigation, Magri said detectives were able to identify the female suspect as Brittany Danielle Martin, age 25, 2020 Ladnier Road, Gautier, MS.  It was learned through investigation, that the two male suspects who held the victim at gun point and robbed him were from North Carolina.  Detectives contacted law enforcement authorities in the area where the two suspects were from and found out that both suspects were in custody for other crimes.
