PRC Girls beat Picayune 39-33; Picayune Boys prevail 62-42
Carriere---Pearl River Central and Picayune played before a standing room only crowd on Friday at Carriere with the Blue Devils winning the girls game 39-33 and Picayune taking the boys game 62-42.

In a back forth contest, PRC led 7-6 after one period and Picayune led 13-12 at the half. With the game tied at 22-22 heading into the fourth period, PRC relied on 7 points off inbounds plays and clutch free throw shooting to get the win.
Harlee Davis scored 17 points including a perfect 10 for 10 at the free throw line to lead Pearl River Central while Lakyn Spence had 12 points including two three pointers. PRC moves to 14-5 overall and 1-1 in region play.
Alanna Smith had 11 points and Shamiah Bridges added 9 points for Picayune. Camille Culpepper had 8 points and 15 rebounds. The Maroon Tide now stands 8-10 overall and 0-2 in region play.
In the boys game, Marvun Arnold poured in 28 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, handed out 3 assists, and had 4 steals in leading Picayune. Jalen Hall added 8 points and 6 rebounds. Sergio Williams had 8 points while Delrae Smith had 6 points. Vandell McGill also had 6 points on two three pointers.
Picayune moves their overall record to 14-5 and 1-1 in region games. PRC is now 12-5 and 1-1 in region.
