Local woman found passed out; arrested for narcotics possession

Picayune Police was dispatched to a local gas station on December 14th at around 9:43pm in reference to an unresponsive female sitting in a vehicle. The female appeared to be passed out according to the Assistant Chief Jeremy Magri.

Upon arrival to the scene, the officer made contact with the suspect, identified as Lori Suzanne Morgan, age 53, of 6 Charlie Kellar Road, Picayune, and was able to wake her up and asked her to exit the vehicle. The officer observed that the suspect became extremely nervous when he began to question her. The officer asked for and was granted a consent to search of her vehicle.

Magri said that during the search of the vehicle, the officer found a bag containing a brown powdery substance believed to be heroin, one off white rock like substance believed to be crack cocaine, 19 Carisoprodol pills, 3 Clonazepam pills, one hypodermic needle, one glass pipe, and one metal pipe from the suspects purse and wallet.

Morgan was arrested for 4 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Paraphernalia and transported to the Criminal Justice Center and booked on the stated charges according to Magri.
