Picayune Police Narcotics Division had received numerous complaints about illegal narcotics being sold at 202 Jeff Wheat Road in Picayune and began surveillance in the area. Based on activity observed while watching the residence, Narcotic Detectives went to the residence on October 10th at approximately 12:16pm.

When Detectives arrived, they found the front door to be wide open and there was no electrical power at the residence. Detectives made contact with four suspects identified as Jeremy Dan’Yelle “Chucky” Antoine, age 30, of 117 Zion Church Road, McNeill; Ashley Marie Pierce, age 28, of 202 Jeff Wheat Road, Picayune; Richard Glen Steen, age 42, of 202 Jeff Wheat Road, Picayune; and Chase Wencslao Sanchez, age 24, of 32 Luke Lane, Picayune.

Detectives observed Sanchez, Antoine, and Steen exiting the master bedroom. Steen had an orange and clear syringe in his right hand and attempted to put the syringe in the front pocket of his shorts. At this time, detectives ordered all four suspects to lay face down on the ground in the kitchen. The suspects complied and were detained by detectives. Detectives removed the syringe from Steen’s shorts. While detectives were securing the residence, they found a digital scale sitting on a back pack sitting in plain view in the master bedroom.

During discussion with the suspects, Steen signed a consent to search allowing the detectives to search the residence. Detectives searched the master bedroom and found a black container which contained a white powdery substance believed to be white Heroin inside a hygiene bag on the bed, a piece of aluminum foil which contained a white powdery substance believed to be white Heroin on the nightstand, one box of clear sandwich baggies on the bed, multiple small orange and clear bags on the bed (also used to package narcotics for sale), four rolls of aluminum foil on the bed, multiple squared cut pieces of aluminum foil on the bed, a Sprite can safe on the night stand, and ten orange, clear syringes on the bed and on the floor in the master bedroom.

Evidence seized from the residence at 202 Jeff Wheat Road in Picayune

Detectives asked the four suspects who the narcotics and paraphernalia belonged to and all four stated they were not aware that the narcotics were in the residence. At this time, all four were placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute within 1500 feet of a Church, Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance within 1500 feet of a Church, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Sanchez, Antoine, Pierce, and Steen were transported to the Criminal Justice Center where they were booked and incarcerated.
