Tide Archery finishes 2nd in the State


On Monday, the Tide Archery team travelled to Jackson and competed against 15 other schools for this year’s 5A State Championship. The Tide Archers came up a little short and finished 2nd to Saltillo for the 4th straight year.

Harold Gallo was the team’s top shooter as he posted a team record tying score of 288, which was tied for 14th among male shooters. The top remaining shooters were Quinton Fenstermacher (271), Caleb Davis (267), and William Smith (265).

Sarah Smith broke the recently set girl’s record total as she posted a score of 287, which was tied for 8th among female shooters. The remaining top four female shooters were Madyson Canulette (274), Kate Spiers (268), and Jordan Barrack (268).

The remaining scores which contributed to the team’s total were posted by Madisen Milliet (266), Helena Hebert (263), Conner Sanders (263), and Heather Jarrell (261).
