Johnson and Others Charged in Burgarlies
As WRJW reported on Monday, Grant Johnson, age 25, a suspect in numerous burglaries that occurred last Thursday in the Caesar community was apprehended in his father’s house on Johnny Johnson Road on Saturday in response to anonymous tips provided to the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department. In a follow up report to WRJW news, Chief Deputy Shane Tucker stated that:
- 26 year old Cory Hall of Carriere, MS was arrested on April 6th for accessory after the fact of burglary. His bond is set at $10,000 and is still under Sheriff’s custody.
- 53 year old Lawrence Johnson was arrested on April 7th for accessory before fact of the burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. His bond was set at $15,000 and was bonded out that day. Unfortunately, the following day Lawrence committed suicide using a firearm.
- 25 year old Grant Johnson of Picayune, MS was arrested on April 8th for 2 counts of residential burglary and 1 count of commercial burglary. His bond was set at $47,000. He bonded himself out on Tuesday morning.
The Sheriff’s Department has reclaimed stolen guns and a four wheeler from a wooded area near the Johnson’s residence.
